Kombucha is a fermented tea. It is an ancient preparation of tea, sugar, and a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY) which has been enjoyed for centuries all over the world and is renowned as a universal health tonic.

We are not here to prescribe anything or make extravagant health claims. Drink kombucha because it's fizzy and delicious and is an excellent alternative to soda or higher alcohol beverages. Drink kombucha because you enjoy it, because it uplifts you, because it helps connect you to the natural world.

Auspicious Brew is licensed as an alcoholic beverage because through the natural process of fermentation kombucha exceeds the limit of 0.5% ABV. Many companies on the market are using highly mechanized equipment to remove the alcohol in their kombucha so that it can be more easily distributed as a non-alcoholic beverage. We choose to brew our kombucha authentically. It is produced in small batches and meant to be enjoyed cold, as soon as possible. Our CLASSIC KOMBUCHA contains 1% alcohol by volume. Our HARD KOMBUCHA contains 5% alcohol by volume. Please enjoy responsibly.

The ingredients we use are influenced largely by the season we're brewing in. We are most inspired by what's available locally and in-season, so what we brew changes throughout the year. We love using fresh herbs from our gardens or throughout the colder months, ones we've harvested and preserved. When we cannot source our own ingredients, we take pride in supporting other small scale growers around the world. In our kombucha herbs are the stars of the show. To balance their many complex flavors we also use fresh juices and real fruits. You will NEVER find artificial ingredients in our products.
